The Department of Mathematics was formed since the inception of Nizam College. Now it is a full fledged Department with one Professor, two Assistant Professors and more than five Academic consultants. There are various combinations of BSc, which offer Mathematics as main course. In addition to common core syllabus, Complex analysis is also introduced in the year 2005 for BSc Final year due to its wide applications. Numerical Analysis and Laplace transforms are offered as electives for final year students. Problem sessions are conducted during Tutorial classes to strengthen mathematical skills and basic concepts of the students. The faculty members apart from active teaching are also fully engaged in Research
He joined the service in January 1992 and is Associate Professor since 2000. He obtained his M.A. in 1978, MPhil in 1984 and PhD in 1994. His area of Specialization is Medical Sociology and interest areas include Rural Sociology. He has Published 5 Research papers in National Journals and 1 book ‘Testimony of Homeopaths on HIV- AIDS. Significant publications are Self Medication and meddling with disease, Orient Journal of law and Social Sciences, Vol 1 (11) Jan 2007and Precautions for healthy living , Orient Journal of law and Social Sciences, Vol 1 (4) March 2007. He has done two research projects: AIDS in Homeopathy perspective sponsored by UGC (2005) and Care for Health Recovery, sponsored by UGC- SAP (2007)
He took his graduation from Dr.B.R Ambdekar Open University, Hyderabad in 2002 and Post Graduation from University of Hyderabad, P.O. Central University, Hyderabad in the year 2004 now persuing Ph.D in Osmania University, Hyderabad., his area of research is Fluid Dynamics in Applied Mathematics He got selected for award of Junior Research Fellowship by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research for pursuing Ph.d in the year 2004.
She took her Post Graduation from National Institute of Technology, Warangal and M.Phil from Osmania University, Hyderabad, her area of Research is Fluid Dynamics in Applied Mathematics, and now she is proceeded on FIP to complete her research.
She did her Post Graduation in Applied Mathematics from Osmania University, Hyderabad and M.Phil from Alagappa University, Karaikudi, Tamilnadu. She is pursuing her Ph.D in Fluid Mechanics under the guidance of Prof.B.Shanker. She is teaching to the undergraduate students of Nizam college from 2001 till date. She is also working as a resource person in teaching to the students preparing for competitive exams, the coaching being offered by the CEDM, sponsored by Osmania University.
He took his Post Graduation from Kakateeya University, Warangal and M.Phil from, Osmania University , Hyderabad and now persuing Ph.D from Osmania University, Hyderabad., his area of research is Fluid Dynamics in Applied Mathematics.
He took his graduation from Kakateeya University, Warangal in 2003 and Post Graduation and M.Phil from Osmania University, Hyderabad. His area of research is “Automorphism Groups of Graphs” in Graph theory of Pure Mathematics.
