The Department of Hindi was established in 1889 along with the other departments of Nizam College, the students and staff of Hindi brought many laurels to the college and Osmania University since the establishment of the Department at the National and State levels. The Department of Hindi is offering Hindi as Modern Language and Second language. The Students of the department serving as Hindi Officers in the Central Government organizations and public sector. The Department of Hindi has organized many seminars of National Level for the benefit of students and also invited prominent writers of Hindi. The Department of Hindi organized many seminars with the coordination of other language departments like Telugu, Urdu, English, Marathi and Theatre arts for comparative study of Hindi with other languages. The students belong to Hindi language of Nizam College awarded Chief Minister cup on the occasion of Hindi Divas.
Dr. Avinash J aiswal is working as Assistant Professor in the
Department of Hindi,Nizam College since 1989.He was conferred 3 Gold Medals for
securing highest marks among the students of M.A.(Hindi),Osmania University in
1985.He was awarded his M.Phil(Hindi) degree in 1988.He has completed his Ph.D.in
only 14 months and has been awarded Ph.D in l990.He was also awarded P.G.Diploma
in Functional Hindi & Translation. "
.. In his student career he represented Osmania University in Literaray
Com ' itions at National and all India University competitions and he secured
Four prizes at National level Competitions for that he was declared as "Out-Standing
Student of Osmania University" and then Vice-chancellor felicitated him with an
"Osmania University Tie"and certi?cate.With an interest in Cultural activity he
completed his P.G.Dipl a in Theatre Arts and also participated in many plays. He also
obtained L.L.B.degree§|
As a teacher,along with his teaching and academic activities he has
served }l'éNizam College with various Administrative Positions as Mess Warden &
Warden(NCH),Students Advisor, Associate Coy. Commander(NCC Of?cer),Programme
of?cer,National Service Scheme(N SS ?cer) and Presently he is discharging-the duty as
"Student"s Welfare Of?cer".He is also Editorial Board Member of Nizam College
Magazine since many Years
Dr. Samar Kumar Ghosh is a Asst. Prof (Contract) in the Department of
Hindi, Nizam college for the last 18 years. His area o,f Research are "Khand
Kavya" Both in M.Phil and Ph.D Program. He has published 5 Research
Articles, and one book and another book which is translated into Hindi is
under Publication titled "Situational Spoken English by Prot}Venkat Rajaiah,
Professor of English, Department of English; Osmania University. §le,,l;,as ;. ,
attended 4 Nationaklevel Seminars since 2005 to 2011, also attende other '
Departmental Seminars‘; on invitation. He is active in CCA and worked as ;

He has also participated, acted and rendered playback singing at
functions and dramas and plays. Some of them literary play like Kavya Natak
of Kamayani by Jai Shanker Prasad. Puski Raat, Kafan by Premchand Bhakth
Surdas, Chitralekha and many.
He is member of BOS Nizam College and Anwar-ul-Uloom College
