The Department of Environmental Science is introduced in the year 2008 at Nizam College. Since then the department has been handling B.A II yr (Telugu and English medium), B.Sc II nd year (Biological and Physical Sciences), B.Com II yr (Regular and E.com) .
After the introduction of Environmental Science as a compulsory subject in P.G under CBCS course, the subject gained immense popularity among the student community. The study of Environmental Science is indispensable for all citizens of the world. It is heartening that UGC has decided and directed all educational institutions to introduce the course environmental studies. As per the guidelines, it is followed in our institution. The subject generates concepts of Prediction, Prospects, Promotion, Preservation and Vision about restoration of Natural Resources.
She is working as Asst.Professor © and Head of the Department of Environmental Studies, Nizam College .she joined Nizam college during February 2009. She has completed M. Sc from Osmania University in the year 2004.she has been awarded Ph.D .,on ‘Environmental impact Studies due to Nacharam Industrial Studies- A.P., India ‘ in the year 2010 from Osmania University .She has Published 2 research papers. She has attended several Departmental Conferences, National Seminars and Workshops. She has written the Course Material for the Subject Environmental Studies for Prof.G.Ram Reddy Center for Distance Education, O.U. and also talking Contact Classes since 2008 to the B.A.&B.Com students of IInd year.
