Department of Theatre Statistics
The Department of Statistics was established independently in the year 1992-1993. Previously it was a part of Department of Mathematics. The course offered currently is BSc (Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics) which is job oriented and has a good demand. This course was introduced in the year 1998 under self financing scheme with intake of 30 students. The course structure deals with areas like Correlation, Regression analysis, Operations Research, Probability and Distribution Theory, Design of Experiments, Sampling and Demand Analysis along with practical applications in many fields. |

K. Sumathi joined the service in 1989 and is Assistant Professor (Selection Grade). She got her M.Sc. in 1986 and MPhil in 1989. |
| Her area of specialisation is Operations Research. She has edited a book written for B.A. first year for Centre for Distance Education, Osmania University. She is also member of Departmental committee and Board of Studies, Department of Statistics, Osmania University. |
