Sanskrit was offered as second language and as an optional subject at Intermediate level at initial level. BA, B.Com, B.Sc courses started with Sanskrit as second language and as an optional (Classical Language), Junior and Senior Diploma Self Financed (evening courses) started in 1990. Assistant Professors 1. Dr.Vidyanand Arya, M.A, PhD. Assistant Professor and I/c Head  Dept. of Sanskrit Email:aryavidyanand@yahoo.co.in Dr. Vidyanand Arya got his MA degree (Gold Medalist) from Osmania University in the year 1998 and is UGC-NET qualified. He received Ph.D from Osmania University in the year 2004. His area of specialisation is Pracheen Vyakaranam. He has published 6 papers (5 research and 1 article) some of them are Adhunika manavajivane Bouddhasadhanamargasyopaya gaha "Sanskrit Shodhana Deepika" Department of Sanskrit, Osmania University, "Samajasya Pariprekshye Parasharasmrithi", "Sanskrit Shodhana Deepika", Department of Sanskrit, Osmania University. He has attended 6 Seminars among which 5 national seminars including "Contextuality of the Vedas in the Changing World Scenario" which has been organised by J.V.College, Badanth, C.C.S University, Meerut, U.P, National Seminar on "Socio-Political conditions as reflected in Dharma Shastras" and 1 International Seminar including "Veda-Vedanga Confernce", Gurukul Kangri, Vishwavidyalaya University , Haridwar. He has visited South Africa to promote Sanskrit. He is the recipient of Dr. D.S. Reddy Memorial Gold Medal and Paniniya by International Vaidik Pariksha Sammelan for memorizing the renowned book Ashtadhyayi written by Panini.     Top
